Abrasion Resistant Rope Coatings
We manufacture products used in coating rope, fabric and netting. These coating are easy to mix and apply no special application equipment is required, simply mix and apply by gloved hand. See our rope coating demonstration video.
Urethane coatings enhance the strength and durability of rope fabrics and netting by providing an abrasion resistant wear surface and sealing out water & debris.
Depending on usage, we recommend two of our product lines for semi-flexible to flexible rope coatings, both are highly rated for high build applications
Semi Flexible Rope Coating
Purecast 603 is the most abrasion resistant high build flexible coating we manufacture. It is recommended for coating rope, fabrics and netting where the highest abrasion resistance and durability is required, we offer a selection of 18 color pigments sold separately. PureCast 603 is a solvent free low odor coating which can be applied in one or more coats as required. PureCast 603 is a US military specification product used in the manufacture of helicopter lifting slings. The cured hardness is 40 Shore D, see technical data bulletin for complete information. Purecast is compatible with most synthetic or natural fiber ropes or fabrics.
PureCast 603 is a two-component polyurethane that comes in convenient one-gallon kits and is offered in larger sizes for different applications. Pigments are sold separately in pre-measured tubes – one tube is required per mixed gallon of coating. The base resin is clear and then the pigment allows you to choose the color needed for your application. PureCast 603 contains no solvents and is classified as a nonhazardous material for shipping purposes.
To improve penetration of the coating into tightly woven fabrics or braided lines you may add 5% by volume Toluene solvent to reduce viscosity.
Flexible Rope Coating
TrueKote CS 100 is a tough elastomeric that been used extensively as a protective coating for marine mooring ropes and nylon lifting slings. The coating has excellent resistance to UV and saltwater and is easily applied by hand, brush or roller. 100% solids contain no hazardous V.O.C.’s. in addition this polymer can be molded into thick castings for encapsulation of rope terminations and eyes or rubber parts.
It is recommended for coating rope, fabrics and netting where abrasion resistance and flexibility are required; we offer a selection of 18 color pigments sold separately. TrueKote CS 100 is a softer more flexible coating than the Purecast 603 product. It provides lower abrasion resistance than our Purecast 603 with a softer hardness of 82 Shore A. It is easy to mix and apply by hand no special equipment is required. Customers will choose this coating when greater flexibility and less abrasion resistance are required.
TrueKote CS 100 has been successfully used to coat Kevlar fabric lifting slings providing waterproofing and wear resistance. TrueKote CS 100 is compatible with most synthetic or natural fiber ropes or fabrics see technical data bulletin for complete information. TrueKote CS 100 contains no solvents and is classified as a nonhazardous material for shipping purposes.
Rope Eye Encapsulation
TrueKote CS 252 is a flexible rubber potting compound used to cast around the neck of braided rope eyes. This product is used with a mold to cast in place rubber onto rope and fabric. It provides flexibility and high elongation where rope eyes experience load stretching. TrueKote CS 252 is a US military specification product used in the manufacture of helicopter lifting slings. TrueKote CS 252 contains solvent and is classified as a flammable material for shipping purposes, see technical data bulletin for more information.
The TrueKote product series may also be used as a protective coating for soft foam, floor coatings, flexible bumper, and impact resistance pads for playgrounds, horse farms and polymer rope applications.
Fiber Consolidating Colored Rope Coating
FiberLock 100 is a low build vinyl based dip coating used to color coat rope, fabric and netting. It provides color and consolidates fibers improving slip. FiberLock 100 penetrates deep within fibers and air dries. We offer a selection of 18 colors; customers may order this product clear and add colors as needed or pre-colored.
This series offers a desirable balance of chemical resistance, film, and thermo-plasticity. Outstanding as a marine maintenance coating, rope coating, buoy coating; offering superior protection to abrasion and weather conditions. Works on a variety of rope products and nettings any substrate where protection and retention and enhancement of physical properties are desired.
In low temperatures, it retains good flexibility and ages well in heat and humidity. FiberLock will Increase the life and wear resistance of synthetic rope and nylon nettings. This product is available in a variety of colors. Apply using the dip and dry method. Hardness 65-75 Shore A.

FiberLock 100 is a US military specification product used in the manufacture of helicopter lifting slings. FiberLock is compatible with most synthetic or natural fiber rope, fabric and netting see technical data bulletin for complete information. FiberLock 100 contains solvent and is classified as a flammable material for shipping purposes.
StyroSpray is a two-component semi-rigid coating is 100% solids recommended for Styrofoam, EPS foam, fabrication of signs, decorative theming, visual displays and concrete molds cut from EPS foam. StyroSpray eliminates the need for expensive high-pressure spray equipment. When fully cured the surface may be sanded or machined. Can be used in place of fiberglass in some applications and painted with either water or solvent based paints.
This product is used to create a smooth surface on carved or wire cut foam and to enhance the strength and durability of finished parts. We recommend this product be used with our StyroPrime to obtain a strong bond to the surface you are coating. StyroSpray can be brushed, rolled or sprayed through a Hopper Gun. The work life of this product is unlimited after mixed if stored in an airtight container. StyroSpray contains no VOC’s will not damage paint or foam surfaces. Hardness 65 Shore D. StyroSpray 1000 is excellent for cosplay designers as well as prop makers.
Abrasive Resistant Automotive and Marine Coatings
Speedliner™ is a high performance urethane elastomeric coating designed for high build applications. When fully cured Speedliner™ forms a tough, abrasive resistant rubber coating, suited for applications requiring protection from impact, abrasion or corrosion on metal, wood or concrete surfaces.
Used as a spray in bed liner for the automotive industry for over twenty years, for water proofing boats and marine applications, excellent non skid and non-slip on wood and concrete surfaces. We also have a specially formulated version for acid and alkali resistant or higher abrasion applications.
Additives include Kevlar fiber for added cut and tear resistance, sand, or aluminum oxide grit may be added to achieve additional non-skid properties. Many colors available from our SL pigment series.. All Speedliner products are easy to apply with a standard hopper gun. Hardness 90-95 Shore A.
TrueKote is a semi rigid casting urethane resin, high strength, flexible coatings used in marine, industrial, and water parks. Resistant to wet environments and has good chemical resistance. TrueKote is extremely durable over flexible foams; best suited for synthetic nylon rope, composite line buoys, marine bumpers and fenders and over flexible foam products. TrueKote 100 non-spray versions are non- flammable, offers minimal shrinkage, and contains no VOC’s, ships non-hazardous. Apply with brush, dip method, roll-on, trowel or rotation. TrueKote spray versions can be applied with a pressure pot system, the spray version is hazardous. All products in this series are available in various colors and set times. Hardness range from 75 Shore D to 90 Shore A.

Flexible Clear Coating Resistant to Acid and Alkali Conditions
TopCoat is a two-component aliphatic urethane coating offering resistance to corrosion, abrasion, chemicals, and impact and rated with the highest of commercially available coatings. This product series is very versatile in that it will work with several of our other product lines.
These coatings have been very successful over a urethane base coat in water parks, on aircraft, railroad cars, ships, storage tanks, metal bridges, piping, and structural steel, and on wood, concrete, and some plastics, including vinyl. The finish is flexible with the use of plasticizers, so it is not subject to becoming brittle with age. The Topcoat CRX is specifically designed for environments requiring resistance to high acid and alkali conditions. TopCoat may be used with Fluorescent Color Pigments to enhance and protect existing coating while adding high visibility to the finished products.
