UraGel 760 is a unique spray applied urethane polymer consisting of two thin liquids, part A and part B. After mixing, Uragel 760 immediately thickens to a buttery non-sag consistency, which forms a high build rigid polymer when fully cured. UraGel 760 is especially well suited for spray applied rigid mold back-ups or spray-in place molding. UraGel 760 is specifically formulated for application with simple low pressure dispensing machines. The thixotropic (self-thickening) nature of UraGel 760 allows for easy application to difficult overhead and vertical surfaces. UraGel 760 contains no solvents or fumes thereby avoiding fire and worker health hazards in contained work environments.

Application and Mix Ratio

Before applying UraGel 760 to flexible rubber molds, all surfaces must be fully cured and coated with a silicone release agent to prevent any undesired bonding. UraGel 760 is spray applied on to mold surfaces using a low-pressure gear pump dispensing system using a 3/8 in. X 12-in. static mixer with .08 air assist spray tip. All air used must be dry to avoid pin holing. If possible apply UraGel 760 in a low humidity environment (below 70%). UraGel 760 gel consistency allows easy installation of plywood or plastic reinforces to high stress areas. Parts are full cured in 24 hours at 72°F. Colder temperatures will delay full cure.

The one to one mix ratio, by volume, and individual color-coded components of Uragel 760 insure ease of proper machine mixing. Once mixed, UraGel 760 self-thickens to a gel within 5 to 10 seconds and remains trowable for 10 seconds. Full cure is achieved in 24 hours at 72°F.

Clean Up

Dispose of all empty UraGel 760 component containers in accordance with local, state and federal regulations. Empty component containers can be rendered non-hazardous by rinsing the containers with a small amount of mixed material and allowing material to cure for 24 hours. The containers will then contain non-hazardous cured urethane.

Storage and Shelf Life

UraGel 760 is shipped from the factory in sealed containers. The containers should be stored in a cool dry area that is protected from direct sunlight and moisture. Storage temperatures should not exceed 80°F. The shelf life of factory sealed containers stored under these conditions is six months. Containers that have been opened should be resealed immediately after material has been removed in order to prevent solvent evaporation.
